Norwegian media are a lucky bunch. The same day our Swedish neighbours dropped the submarine hunt, geologists warned that a mountain rockslide was imminent in a valley in Western Norway, and evacuated the people living close to it. Since then, reporters and camera crew have been placed around this mountain waiting for something to happen :D It's been a week now, and they just hope for more rain to hasten the slide (because they are certain it will happen sooner rather than later). But just having TV cameras there, aimed at the mountain ... gives the word slow-TV a new dimension.

I just saw on the news that an 18 year old was killed by getting hit by a truck that was driven by a 17 year old without a license. The 18 year old was running away from dogs. The scene looked familiar (my district is infested with dogs). Turns out it happened just 1 minute away from where I live. I had heard the ambulance sirens yesterday. What a shame.
