OK, so Bathory, I understand, does not have it's influential roots in Venom?

Yeah right. ;)

Sneaky, you're the Grand Inquisitor of Murray, and Yax is the high priest... call me a bit confused, but what's the difference? Who has the "higher power?"  :P

I guess i'm not sure what Grand Inquisitir means

So if SMX is the high priest of H, is there a grand inquisitor?

H doesn't need a Grand Inquisitor...at the mention of his name, heretics and fools alike are transformed into gibbering masses of fear.

nice this one, I didn't know it
continue like this Raven!

from the GIGA album Twilight of the Gods, Bathory -of course

That's quite strange...'One Rode To Asa Bay' is the one Bathory track most people know...their first and only video.

I got Hammerheart off a friend the other day, and the intro to Shore In Flames... :o

HUGE!

Also, off 'Blood Fire Death'...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nv6R-RL1lt0&mode=related&search=

Strangely, the two tracks I had previously heard off BFD before downloading it (title track and A Fine Day To Die) are the only two that are Viking Metal...all the other songs are like earlier Bathory...Black/Thrash metal.  Unexpected, but cool (esp. since the production is just raw and not shit ¬_¬)

you have to find /purchase Twilight of the Gods, Raven
generally if you like viking metal, search the post Hammerheart Bathory albums
(Twilight of the Gods -the first album after Hammerheart-
is the first 100% viking album -is the genre's milestone)

FIND IT RAVEN

I had a few Bathory songs before that...and I had in mind to get some of their stuff.

I will.  Vikings are great, although Viking Metal can be a bit hit-or-miss at times...too inconsequential, sometimes.  Still, we all love Vikings!
