What I like the most is that Glastonbury haven't had a proper metal name like....ever. And Metallica says yes and rips the festival a new one. Maiden should have done this gig. Hands down.

Fade To Black!

It's sort of like a Maiden Heaven Can Wait, except you get to be on stage for two hours :D

Ehh, I don't know if it looks like shit, perhaps when watching on a stream like this.

If I recall, Maidens refusal is because Glastonbury has never shown an interest in metal (and sure, if they are going to start it has to start somewhere, but rather than a stage etc it's just one band) and because they don't like the fact that Glastonbury is the only festival that gets any real media attention at all. I've already seen it come up on the news a few times in the past few days and yet there is never a word mentioned about any of the other festivals that ARE primarily rock/metal based.

That sound super-awkward.
It is. Go on YouTube & you can see some kid getting heckled.

It's not.

I'm telling you, it looks shit.
Standing at the back of the stage watching the set must be horrible if you're getting an eye full of Lars' ponytail.
Wait until he gets his little cock out, later, backstage.

That is definitely wrong for sure, but it can't be Glastonbury's fault that other festivals don't get any publicity. And yes, hopefully Metallica is paving the way for more metal on Glastonbury in the future!

It's nothing like it. With Maiden everyone piles on super excited for just that song & leaves when Janick starts ruining Adrian's original HCW lead. With this, it's like a whole crew of groupies posing behind them. And, as you said, for the whole gig. In reality, it's nothing like what Maiden do/did.

Incidentally, it's the BBCs fault.

Well, it's not the same thing because of the time, but like, the fans are up there, enjoying themselves, singing along to the tunes? Having a good time? Exactly the same :D
