Is anyone aware of the recent news regarding the "Heartbleed bug"? It has raised big privacy concerns across the net but I'm not well informed about these stuff. Wikipedia says:

The Heartbleed bug is a bug in the open-source cryptography library OpenSSL which allows an attacker to read the memory of a server or a client, allowing them to retrieve, for example, a server's SSL private keys.

I think you have to be quite unlucky to have your credentials stolen, because they would only stay in the memory as long as you're logged in. Am I right, IT wizards?

I am more of a database wizard, but that is my understanding. It also shows a problem using all these open source/"free" components

Ah, Ah, imagine working on gas and water pipes on this building for months, shutting down both services sometimes for 4 consecutive working days lol

Yep! Well.... I honestly would rather not be working the weekend... but the job is good. I consider it 'advance payment' for what I'm learning so that some day I can get a non-weekend job :)

The wheels are grinding slowly for my new job .. I was hoping to be out of here by now because I am on call for the next week ... which is another thing I really like about my next spot .. no on call.

I just don't know what to do with this...

It takes all of the lameness of Nightwish (that can usually be overlooked by the awesomeness of Nightwish) and pushes it to the forefront. And what is with that hideous auto-tune? I can't even start on the lyrics...
