Red heads and the sun are not friends. In other words, we tend to burn very easily because we have fair skin. It's a red head thing or anyone who has fair skin for that matter.

Yeah, usually people with fair or freckled skin, blond or red hair and blue (light colored) eyes sunburn easily.
It's odd how it works...I have very pale skin but I tan rather than burn easily.
