Swimming, I hate swimming. Not only am I bad at it but I get tremendous headaches, possibly because of the overly large amount of chlorine in the school pool.

I really hope that the snow isn't going to melt anytime soon because that way there's a chance we get skiing lessons instead of swimming. :notworthy:

Do you put your head under the water a lot? The water pressure used to give me earache and headaches, and swimming goggles put pressure around your eyes, too.

Probably not that, then. It was only if I was underwater for longer periods or swimming to a depth of a metre or more that I got a problem. Don't your eyes get irritated by the chlorine if you don't wear goggles?

Still tender after Friday's workout ... first time lifting since before Christmas and it shows.

But we're finally having proper winter here. -12 oC outside, some snow already in place and more predicted to come later this week :)

I'm not a fan of skiing either but I'd take take that over swimming any day.

Swimming is boring but excellent exercise. The odds of major injury are MUCH higher for skiing than swimming. But no risk of drowning. So it's got that going for it. Went skiing over the holiday break -- after two days of skiing, my legs and back hurt for about a week. Of course, I'm old.
