Christmas for me this year actually had less arguments than normal, which was good. However, I do wish my sisters would communicate about gifts... I got a book on the German Tiger tank, twice. I also got a book on Les Paul's, twice.

Crimson, are they indeed entirely to blame themselves? Didn't you just mention these ideas to both sisters, separately? Or else someone else did? It's hard to imagine that they both came on exactly the same ideas without anyone else's advise. The remaining option would not be the smartest: If they heard these items at the same time while they were together, and then going separate ways without wondering who does what.

In any case: this outcome is ridiculous. :)

Nah, my parents generally ask for a list of what each of us want and then pass it out amongst us - although naturally there is no requirement to get something from that list. Neither of those books were on my suggestions ;)

It's not that I'm ungrateful, I like that they tried to find something they thought fit my interests :) The sad part is that I seem to get a double present every year (or often something I got for my birthday), so it's not even that surprising other than it's two lol. The hardest part is that we all open our presents in the living room together and when you say thank you someone else inevitably says "What did you get?".. so it's trying to say thanks without the other noticing and an argument beginning :P

I still have a working VCR that I got one year for Christmas or something and even still have some VHS tapes. Not sure why I haven't gotten rid of them yet. Maybe it's the nostalgia factor.

We have a VCR that doesn't work anymore but I still have a bunch of VHS that I'd like to be able to watch. Is it still possible to buy VCRs?

You love the crackle, hiss and wavy lines.

In other news, I've determined that this is a Somewhere In Time morning. I realize I'm living in those golden years. :)
