Wingman, you might get battered by some pretty bad winds during the night. There's a low centre to the north of Scotland which is forecast to be a slow as 934 mbar at midnight tonight!:eek:
 
Yeah, I'd call us 'central midwest' :) my weather is usually a little more bitter in the winter and more humid in the summer, and I typically blame the Mississippi river for that.
 
In other news, I have 2 hours of work left and I am not working very hard at all :)

I picked the right time of the year to put in my notice, I can just walk around talking to people about how we'll miss each other when I move on.
 
My new employer never called any of my references!

However, I am doing some stuff. Mostly just answering trouble calls and keeping the backups going... luckily its pretty simple on a day like today.

I was told by 4-5 people in senior management and my direct supervisor, that they would all be happy to write me letters of recommendation and references for me whenever I may need them.

I will really miss this job, its bittersweet, cus I needed a new job but really do enjoy the people I work with.
 
Yep! It's been a good run through here. My statement to HR was that I know almost all the 350 people in this company (which is true) and when I go, there will be 290 that miss me, 50 that don't remember me, and 10 that are glad to see my tail lights :)

That will be the same for me when I leave my job. I may not like the work environment and all the changes I've gone through there but my co-workers are some pretty awesome people and I'll miss them the most. That's what's making it hard to leave but I know I have to do this.
 
I'm off work in 26 minutes. Then to find magazines and candy to put into the kids' stockings! ...and cinnamon rolls for breakfast in the morn.
