Good morning Maidenfans!

I find that wireless/wired discussion interesting. I have never played guitar using a wireless system myself - always wired all the way from guitar to amp - but what are the drawbacks of wireless?

Are these systems more prone to picking up electromagnetic noise than a wired system is?

If the sound quality and reliability is equal, I reckon a 6-man band like Maiden would benefit from using wireless. Simply because they would go from a small risk of tripping to a zero risk. So, are they just being stubborn, conservative old men, or are there some drawbacks with wireless?

I got the impression most pro bands used wireless these days. There are usually a very limited number of frequencies available for it, though, and the more channels you use, the greater the likelihood of interference. Maiden would be using five frequencies if Adrian, Dave, Janick and Steve all did it, because Bruce is also wireless. They can have limited range, too, not so good on a big stage, although I'm sure Maiden could afford the very best systems. Maybe they just like the traditional plugged look.

Complex? Interesting, I've always thought otherwise. Maiden are usually pretty straightforward, not very technical, their songs are in the same key. There are two songs by Maiden that I can't play, the rest I can play pretty easily. Adrian has also stated in a video that Maiden's songs are fairly easy.

I thought the words "obey" and "Pharaoh" were pretty obvious indicators of my tongue firmly in cheek.
