Agreed, it's been a huge shock to everyone. Some poor guy was quoted earlier on, saying he'd been trying to find his father since last night, but none of the hospitals had heard of him.

Yip, eight fatalities & counting. I think it just all took a while to filter through (to news sources) while they dug people out of the rubble, identified bodies, & contacted relatives. Terrible. Not a place I've been either, BW. But driven past it many times on my way to the cinema. Oddly, the woman interviewed yesterday said the band (genuinely) kept playing after it hit the pub. The impact seemed very localised within the pub itself, with quite a lot of people walking out unhurt, & unaware that anything (never mind a helicopter) had hit the roof. Yeh, Brigantium, I heard that guy saying he hadn't heard from his father; it was his local & he always sat in the same place, etc.

So it turns out that An Clutha is Gaelic for "The Clyde" and that everyone has been pronouncing the name of the pub wrong. It should be something like "cloo'ah".

Indeed, that's because in Gaelic they don't really pronounce hard sounds like TH.
We're not mis-pronouncing it though; we're just choosing to sound the TH.
The word always reminds me of Cthulhu...

What a day. I spent 5 hours at Best Buy trying to buy a new phone and get a cell company, well I didn't get either but on the plus side I bought Stained Class, Paranoid, and Rust in Peace for 4$ each.

Best Buy is a great place to get the classic rock and metal albums, they're almost always in the bargain bin. Same with the old Rush albums. I think I bought all of those albums at Best Buy as well.

Yeah I was really considering buying one of the 8 copies of Fly By Night they had there. Sadly I looked all over and couldn't find any Priest albums. Stained Class was the only one I saw and that was at the bottom of the bargain bin or whatever they called it. I was really hoping to find Painkiller.

If you keep looking you'll probably come across it eventually. I think I've seen every Priest album at best buy at some point, minus the debut and the two Ripper albums.

I'll probably just end up getting it from ebay. I actually couldn't even find the Judas Priest section, which is really odd considering I found Anvil.

Oh that's very weird. There's always a JP section at my best buy, even if it's just compilations.
