My boss gets an hour...all department managers get an hour. I work in a supermarket, so I have no computer to chat on. I come here while I'm at home.

*too serious*

Watching the weather....it's gonna be about 85 here today, chance of rain

what's the weather like in England today?

NP: Primordial - Autumns Ablaze

Weather's good here, but could be better.  Still too bloody cloudy and not enough sun.

Here's a good story...back in 2002 when my hubby and I went to California on vacation we rented a Harley and drove through the desert from Los Angeles to Vegas. It's about a 5 hour drive, and it was blistering sun all day! We got there July 5, and saw Sigfried and Roy that night! We were shocked when we saw Roy get mauled by that tiger  :(

The following day we drove the bike into Death Valley. I don't know how many of you know where that is, but if you've been to America and been to Vegas, you know how hot it gets there. That day in Death Valley it was 122 degrees IN THE SHADE! We paid like $2.36 for premium gas and get bottled water-we drank SO MUCH that day-

We made the 17 mile trek down to Badwater, which is below sea level. Ever been in front of a blast furnace? That's what it felt like! He had to keep one hand behind his back while the other one barely touched the clutch so he could drive...it was about 130 that day in the basin!

We stayed down there maybe 20m minutes and took a few pictures, then we went back to the hotel, sat at the bar, gave the guy a $5 and said "Give us water so we can recover!" We were both sick cuz of the heat, and we were definitely dehydrated.

On our way back to Vegas the temp was like 95, it felt SOOO nice after being in a blast furnace for 4 hours!

That's the hottest weather I've ever been in in my life.

Why do you people have to deal in Farenheit? The first time I heard that temperatures hit 100 when I was in America (I was in Flordia...heatwave in Arizona, I think), I thought, 'Wtf? Doesn't water boil at 100?'. :P

The hottest temperatures I've ever been in are in the high 30's/early 40's.  Last year, I went to France on an adventure holiday with my venturer scout group.  We had a 10 hour bus journey from Charleroi (in Belgium) to the south of France, and bus stops were us sprinting from the bus to the air-conditioned service station, and buying over-priced water.  I think I spent about E10 on water that day alone.

Thankfully, the weather was not as hot the rest of the time (or, rather, we became acclimatised), and we had a long river next to us in the gorge we were staying in.  We got to canoe down 10k of it. :D

Now Doing: holding my pick between my teeth while typing this.  Hoping something to play will come on WMP. ;D

Sorry, I don't know what 122 is in Celcius...I forgot that formula... something like 9/5....?

*help me out!*

One day I want to go to Europe...I want to load up on all that rare Maiden shit that's not here in America!  :D

The ghost of the navigator? Just seen him pass the house this morning! LOL

Just kidding. I'm about 400 miles or so from the nearerst ocean!

Subtract 32 and then divide by 1.8(ish).

Indeed it is - something we don't get a lot of in the UK. It gets to 26, and people start wilting.

When my hubby was in Europe in 1998, it was in September, and it was average weather. I hear that it rains in London a lot...when I watch the weather I see London nice a lot of the time!

When I go to Europe I'm gonna be amazed at everyone driving on the left side of the road and on the right side of the car! LOL that sounds weird, but I've never left North America!

I've been in Canada, that's about it

Oh yeah, it was juts in England. He went to Paris and Amsterdam also. They videotaped a lot of it, and there's this funny shot of them in a taxi in Paris and this guy is driving them around the Champs Elysees and there's like 7 lanes of traffic! People cutting in and out all the time!

*remembering European Vacation*
The Griswolds driving round Big Ben and Parliament LOL

While taking a sh.....

Oh, this is probably some lyric that I can't fathom for the life of me and I go and spoil it with a bit of toilet humour. :D
