I'm back for my second round of steaks! They had a great sale so I bought two monster ones, then cut them down... My daughters will clean the whole house for a nicly grilled steak!

Relaxing with a canned margarita :)

Some people really suck. Back when I had younger kids in elementary school, they were in a catholic school. One of the nuns wanted to start pulling books from the library shelves, because she thought they were bad. I totally lost my cool over that one. I don't like book banning/burning! I made it clear (along with other parents) that my kids would leave that school if one book left the shelves.

People suck, sometimes.

I cannot wait for the new Superman flick. It's funny, I was never a huge Superman fan when I collected comics back in the 80's, but now, I think he is totally cool. I always thought he was too powerful for anyone to beat. Then I started watching Lois and Clark and realized his biggest enemy is his own morals. I love it.

Agreed about Book burning, it's never cool.

Disagree about Superman, he's lame :p Batman is all the rage.

But Superman Returns was decent

I find Superman is more interesting for himself than anyone against him...Superman is physically invincible as long as there is no kryptonite or magic involved, and he's got a yellow sun to chill with.

I never found the Superman stories very interesting, didn't care for any of the villains. The whole Bizzarro thing was pretty cool though.

I used to not like the stories. But once I got around to the fact that he was virtually invincible, yet his weakness (or strength) was that he wouldn't kill anyone and always had to reel in his strength to keep from really killing someone, then I got more into the stories.

There was an early episode of Lois and Clark where he almost quit. Luthor would send out many attacks against Metropolis at one time, and Superman couldn't stop them all at the same time. He found that when he quit, Luthor quit, so by not being a hero he was saving lives. Yet, he was still needed. He realized that he couldn't save everyone, and that was the price he had to pay to save anyone.

Anyway, I'm much more of a Superman fan since. Digging Batman as well. Love the DC animated universe (especially Justice League and Justice League Unlimited)

Apart from Batman, I actually never really liked any of the DC Universe. I've always been more of a Marvel person. There's a lot of good stuff there. I used to read a ton of Spider-Man

I am mostly with you. I was/am a huge Marvel fan. I've got around 500 or so comics from the 80's, and they are almost all Marvel. Thor, Iron Man Avengers WC Avengers X-Men... Spidey... You get the idea. There were like 3 Spidey comics to follow!! I used to love Thor at that poing and really enjoyed the whole Iron Man bit with the alcoholism and everything.

Marvel, IMO, has a stronger 'why do they do it' to their stories. Maybe more human? I dunno, but mostly more appealing, and they seem to have greater flaws, which makes them more interesting.

Yea, that's what I mostly liked about them. I always felt like their characters were more unique and original. Even though Spider-Man got his ass kicked all the time, his character was better than, say, The Green Lantern.

There were a lot of Spider-Man comics but I was actually only really into Amazing, Dunno why but none of the others gauged my interest. Web had some good ones. The one that was just called Spider-Man was okay too,

I'm spending my morning eating a donut, sipping coffee and OJ, goofing off on the interwebs. I'll hafta go mow at some point, and run as well. But that can be put off til later in the day.

Ha! yeah, I think that happens to me too. that's why I just went out and did it and got off my ass. My yard takes about 2-3 hours to mow properly. The grass is pretty tall right now (first mowing of the year and lots of rain) so it's taking a while to get through. I'm guessing another 2 hours and I'll be done.

then, I can reward myself with some grilling!
