That's awesome! :D I can't remember if you've said this before or not but has he started liking any Maiden songs yet? That's your next step if not.

No, he has an aversion to Bruce's voice and can't get past that. I might have to start with Di'Anno era stuff. I could imagine him taking an interest in AMOLAD, however, if I introduce it gently.

Oh geez. My husband surprisingly likes Bruce's voice better than Di'Anno's.
You'll get him with the program sooner or later. :P It took a bit for my husband. He actually started out liking The Trooper and The Number of the Beast and that was it but at least he had a starting point.

Noooo, that wouldn't work here. It's basically the mid-80s stuff that put him off, so I need to get him away from this image he seems to have formed about them

Knowing my husband, I'm actually surprised he's likes any of the 80's stuff and that's what he likes the most! Basically it's like this for him: He doesn't like the first album, he likes Killers, NOTB, Piece of Mind and Powerslave oh and Live After Death of course. But he doesn't like SIT or SSOASS hardly at all. He likes Wasted Years and he likes at least the first half of SSOASS the song. That's just 80's. He likes alot of the newer stuff too except Dance of Death but I might give that one another try on him. He tried listening to Blaze era too but he wasn't really into it.

I'm at the point in my weekend where I only have cleaning left to do. and no desire to do it!

I watched Wrath of Khan last night.... I guess I could watch STIII as an excuse to not clean.

Yet, after reading all of this Maiden talk, maybe I'll spin up AMOLAD. That could be my fav Maiden album ever.

Are you questioning whether I should watch it? Or the fact that I didn't type out "The Search For Spock" (because I was feeling lazy)?

Here is my geek out of the hour. I think Khan was the best of TOS era movies. However, I think that The Voyage Home was the one that most like the original series. It had far more of the light heartedness that made TOS so fun to watch.

Yeah, its pretty bad... which is why I haven't started it yet. I loved Khan. And I always feel I 'should' watch III just so I can watch IV. But maybe I'll just skip to IV.

For me it's tied between Wrath of Khan and The Undiscovered Country. Wrath of Khan has the best acting and plot - Shatner's best movie or tv show, by far, in terms of his acting skill. Ricardo Montalban shone as Khan, too. But The Undiscovered Country just has so much more...meaning. I dunno. They're both great.

Yeah, I can get on board with that. I should go back and watch Undiscovered Country again. It's been a while. I get what you mean, as far as it having more of an impact than Khan did. But, damn, Khan was good.

I'll try the Rifftrax gig, then. But, whoa. I just hated that flick. I'm almost surprised they ever made another one. :)
