No, I'm a bit surprised by that. I'd assumed they would sort of mature and go onto other things as a band, having lasted beyond the initial fad

I was under the impression that they did "mature" in recent years. At least they distanced themselves more from who and what they looked like in "The Black Parade" which I'm sure is what most people will remember them for.

No, they came to my door and woke me up. It was just to hand me a flyer. They didn't even want to preach. Disappointing.

I've decided to watch Master & Commander: The Far Side of the World for the first time. It came out when there was a run of poorly made historical epics in the early 2000s and I was so disillusioned that I just didn't bother. But I hear it's actually quite good, so I figure I'll give it a try.

That new Robin Hood movie, though....

I wonder if it was the same sort of one I got this morning, LC?
There's a worldwide JW celebration on Tuesday. My leaflet featured a strikingly tanned and toned male model-esque Jesus
They also rang my doorbell and asked if I minded them putting the leaflet through. It's a global plot, I tell you...

It's very different from the crap that came out at the time. Which I guess, is the reason why it performed poorly. I'm pretty sure you will enjoy it. I, for one, love it.

I would imagine so. I think I will too. So far, it's pretty good.

Most people who watched it were surprised that the movie is primarily there to actually tell a story.

Master and Commander is fun enough but nothing to take too seriously. It also doesn't follow the book, from what I've heard, which was about a stand-off between British and American ships, not British and French.

I'm not taking another picture, but I'm sure it's the same. Jesus sure looks fit there.

And movies that tell stories, Perun? WTF

I'm okay with that. I more just want to see the naval battles well done, see accuracy in history in a fucking movie for once. So far, it's quite nicely done.
