The week is finally over. For the first time this year, I went to school 5/5 for the week without any absences. :D

Btw, I think it's silly to have a Women's Day. There's no such thing as Men's Day, so every other day of the year belongs to men while only this one belongs to women ?

Many countries have a Father's Day, and at least in Eastern Germany, this is colloquially also known as "Men's Day".

The idea is supposed to be that woman are so marginalised in society that there should be a day of celebration of mark women's contribution to society. I used to get good marks in gender history by mentioning this in essays :D

Mother's Day is traditionally Mothering Sunday here, and it's this Sunday. Father's Day is in June, round about the time of my dad's birthday.
 
Women's Day is a political statement. Mother's Day is a marketing campaign.

and crying on Maidenfans is not allowed (unless a member leaves the band)
