Our government banned the celebrations of the anniversary of the declaration of the Turkish Republic. (they probably gave a ridiculous explanation for it, like "if people get around together, riots may take place" or something) It's pretty obvious I think to see where this country is heading...

Well it's the Republic Day today. Of course people went out to celebrate the day in groups, the police used pepper spray and pressurized water against them. What a fucking disgrace. I'm proud to be Turkish but ashamed to be living in Turkey currently.
