Apparently my Clarinet quartet is playing a concert next week. One of the songs on the set: Careless Whisper by George Michael. :ahhh:

 I can just hear the clarinets playing the tune now.... I'd probably shoot myself if I ever had to play that one in band.
Rehearsals for it have been amusing. BTW, what instrument did you play in band?

Maybe I'll record it for y'all :p

I played the flute. I played it from 4th grade up till I graduated and unfortunately, haven't played it since. I still have it and I'm sure if I were to pick it up right now, I'd remember how to play it. I miss my band geek days.

*Band geek high five

Very cool, I started playing in band at 4th grade too, but on sax. I guess that must be when they decide kids are capable of handling instruments. :P

*High five* :P

I think the thing for alot of schools (at least for mine) was that they allowed you to start playing instruments when you hit 4th grade. I think it was like you could start playing violin/viola in 3rd and the other ones were 4th.

Yea, that's how it was for mine too, except we didn't have orchestral instruments.

Although, earlier grades got to take part in Recorder class. :P

Lol yea, my parents couldn't stand when I played mine. I still have it somewhere

:(

This conversation makes me want to go find and play mine, but at 10:45 PM that probably isn't such a good idea

How can you not love the sound of a recorder?:P

Hell, the whole quartet should just be recorders. It would be the nicest sound imaginable.
