I could but the devices I record my music on aren't enough to share them in order to collaborate on a project.

If mixed right, it shouldn't sound too terrible. Do you have a pc with a built in mic? You could also look into a USB mic

Don't laugh, but I think you can use the mic from Rock Band or whatever to record on a pc.
