I've had all sorts of them. Of the people I shared with in my years as a student, some are now among my best friends - others have been pretty useless. For the last couple of years in that collective, I had to serve as pissed-off sergeant more than once, telling people that leaving their dishes all over the kitchen was a bad idea when they share the kitchen with six other people.

One also left the cleaning job for his sister when he moved out by Christmas - to study in Australia for the next semester. Responsibility was a word unknown to him.

In general, when you cannot freely choose with whom you will live, you have to be prepared for everything.

Not time for Rush day out here yet. But I shall listen to a ton of Rush tomorrow. \m/

Me too. I was a Rush fan long before I was a Maiden fan, and it's a testament to Iron Maiden's greatness that Rush takes second place to them in my world. Rush is Canada's greatest rock n roll export, and 2112 is arguably their greatest album... happy 2/1/12.

Rush is Canada's greatest export.

2112 is far from my favorite album though.

If I lived in Europe I'd watch more football. We're spoiled here in the States with the best American Football league, the best basketball league and the best ice hockey league in the world... hmm, never mind, I don't want to live in Europe after all :p
