Damn. Last weekend I played VXI in the car and now again (to prepare well for the next song topics).. but I expect this album to come out better than I thought some months ago.

Of course I know the album for ages -since it came out (and even earlier than that, became I remember it could be streamed on some site)- and I have always known its positive qualities besides its lesser aspects. But because of the huge consuming of other music in the last ten years, I tend to overlook the positive ones.

The only problem I have with the song rating is that I am doubting as hell if I should give some songs an 8 or 9, or in some other cases, a 7 or a 8. These are the cases where repetition plays a role (and I am not talking of TAATG). When I focus on these parts I tend to go for the lower grade option, but when I focus on the favourite parts of these songs, I tend to pick the higher grade option.  :/

One thing I know for sure: I have decided I won't go lower than a 6, and not higher than a 9.

I'm sorry I haven't moved ahead with new topics - my illness has really kept me from such things. I'll get on that now.

I am now on the mend. I hope. I thought that on Monday, and then I was miserable for the next 3 days. Apparently I had bronchitis.

Good. I have had a very long cold (more often light than severe), since January I think. But no fever.
Anyway, it's still not out of my system, but it hasn't obstructed me either (yet).

I see where you're coming from. I had that shit five years ago. Started out with a severe cold (of the kind with high fever and waking up at night, coughing like hell). When the cough didn't go away after a week and I became short-breathed just from walking, I went to my doctor. Was diagnosed with bronchitis and put on antibiotics (so the doctor obviously suspected the bronchitis was caused by bacteria, not viruses), and was fine after some days. But I was really feeling like shit.

Few years back my wife had those symptoms. Treated it like a cold at first, but she didn't get better, then started getting worse.
Ended up diagnosed with a form of bronchial pneumonia that left her bed-ridden for a full month.
It was pretty nasty.
As an aside to that, I was working a job that demanded a lot of overtime and we had two little ones at the time.
Between the kids, the job, caring for my wife and running the household I was ready to drop from exhaustion by the time she was better.
My respect for single parents is enormous.

Mine was viral, I got some steroids to beef up my immune system, and I am pretty much feeling almost better now. Still have some phlegm in my lungs that need to be coughed up, but other than that, I'm on the mend.

So one learns something new every day. The times I've seen steroids mentioned in relation to the immune system, it has been as immunosuppressants, not as boosters. But of course, "steroid" is just a collective term for a shitload of different compounds ...

I *think* it's steroids. I might be wrong, I was a little out of it at the time, and the bottle is ALLL the way over there.

Oh, it probably was. They give them out for viral stuff, poison ivy, breathing problems and all sorts of stuff!
