PROTECT YOUR CHICKEN FROM DOKKEN

That's the first time I heard of them. The last is when I listened to three songs on youtube, one of which is Breaking The Chains.

I remain unimpressed.

To all of you Dokken fans (lol),from their last album with Jon Levin on guitar, I think this is the name (the guy rocks) check the songs: 'How I miss your smile', 'I remember', 'Standing on the Outside' and 'Give me a Reason'.

You won't regret, despite Don's voice is no longer there lol.

This is just my opinion, but this would be the "ultimate" tour of nothing, shit metal bands:
LA Guns
Winger
Twister Sister
Firehouse
Quite Riot
Slaughter
White Lion
Ratt

Whoa.  Thats a lot of talk about some classics.

LA Guns never took off Traci had hoped, but there were a couple good songs from them-- I think I saw them open up for Def Leppard on Hysteria.
Winger, Kip's first album had a couple good 80's style tunes, mostly the A side, though, I kinda enjoyed the Purple Haze he did (yeah, I know, its not Hendrix, I agree)
Seriously, Twisted Sister rocked out some great tunes! No way they should ever be dogged on!  Dee is still the man.
Firehouse had a decent debut album, I don't remember the second one as well.  Definitely a product of the era, but I'll still spin them on occasion.  Saw that one in '90, was fun.
Quiet Riot...not going there again, but there is a convo about them here somewhere-- I'll agree to that one, I saw that about 12 years ago, not worth seeing again.
Slaughter-- Thats a band that had the bad luck to debut the year (or so) before Nirvana changed the 'pop' scene.  I really had high hopes, but time wasn't in their favor.
White Lion--Meh, never really had any strong hits that I recall, but Radar Love (their video of) had a Kawasaki ZX-10, so got two thumbs up!
Ratt, You know, I had some pretty good memories of 'Round and Round'...ah, the fun of High School!

L.A guns are awesome. Saw them for free at Taste Of Colorado a few years back. Winger's first album was classic imo. The 2nd album was good too. I never liked TS that much. I gave Firehouse's first album a try and it didn't click with me. I never liked QR either. Slaughter was good. They just came at a bad time. I never liked white lion. Too many ballads. Ratt is VERY overated imo but the Guitarist is really good. I think it might be a good show. I think its called "Rocklahoma"

Just my opinion of course. And, the 80's had other bands that were SO MJCH better:
Maiden of course
Queensryche
Motley Crue
Slayer
AC/DC
Judas Priest
Megadeth
Ozzy
Dio
Anthrax
Scorpions
RUSH

with the exception of AC/DC I agree 100% just replace them with Dokken.

Right, but how many of those bands got their start in the 80's?  Some, for sure, but that's like calling Pearl Jam a 2000's band.  Many of the bands you listed got their start in the 70's.

Now, for comparison, look at:

GnR
Poison
Motley Crue
Autograph
Dokken
Tesla
Skid Row
Warrant

Many more-- the thing is, 80's bands were a lot of fluff, as far as lyrics go, but they were fun.  There is no comparison between Scorpions and Night Ranger, but I still like Night Ranger.
