Nah, it was just gasoline-- building an alcohol runner is hard on those smaller engines.  Sure, it was higher octane, but at 12.5:1 compression, it really does run better on that. 
 
Damn, playing Brutal Legend made me realise that there's an entire section of metal that I have completely missed: 80's old school stuff like glam and what not.

I know a song or two from Motley and ratt and listened to a Twisted Sister album, but other wise I never really paid any attention to it.


That and Dokken and stuff.
 
Holy shit, you are missing out!!  There was a huge 'LA Bands' gig going on back then, plus some great other stuff as well.

White Lion, Quiet Riot, Great White, Poison, Bullet Boys, Warrant, The Cult, Junkyard... oh, so much to listen to.

I rediscovered Motorhead too! I never took them seriously, but the have other awesome songs besides Ace of Spades.

I'm probably missing another band that I got psyched about.

A band I really liked - saying that, I only have their first two albums and I love their debut.

And I cannot bring myself to participate in this Dokken stuff. Sorry.

Took the girls to a parade today, not a bad haul of candy for them!  Back home now, listening to Sixx A.M., sipping coffee, and waiting for the afternoon college football games to start.
