Because some people don't download albums. Of course, I broke my own rule over the weekend, getting the Japanese first-press versions of the 80s albums based on the thread that says they sound much better than the remasters. I learned about .rar files for the first time, but it wasn't hard to figure out how to convert them to .wav files. Google is pretty goddamn useful. I justified this sin in my own mind on the grounds that I would have bought the better mastered versions if they were still available, and I've already purchased both the vinyl and remastered (crackly) versions. And yes, they do sound better. Notwithstanding my newfound knowledge of the forbidden fruit, I'll just wait until next Tuesday when I can buy a copy of TFF at the store before I hear the new album.
