I think you are missing the point completely (at least the one I am trying to make). I am sure that live they are still a blast (Maiden are one of the best live bands ever), but it is undeniable that they are playing Aces High significantly slower than in the past.

Is this done out of necessity or is it a stylistic choice?

Not sure, think Bruce had problems with his in Belfast, the first verse of RTTH he was out of sync with the band

He was behind the kit at the time so maybe that was causing the issue, he was a consistent degree behind the band for the whole verse, like he was hearing what they played a split second too late.

LOTB 2022 it's about the same speed as the first half of LAD.

It's slower. But it's not a matter of bpm so much. There's no groove, the song is dragging them. Don't know about the live experience but in YouTube it's tiring to hear.
