Maybe they will release the Frankfurt show on DVD? I think there was a funny scene with Bruce and Janick at minute 3.10 that would be something special for a DVD.

I was in Frankfurt, center front row, and there was no filming of the show. So we can't get a DVD release.
Moreover, IMHO, only the show in Rock In Rio could be released on DVD IF the band has decided to release a DVD. BUT, as DVD's are really expensive to produce nowadays, I think a DVD won't ever come these days. It's more probable that we'll only have a video on YouTube with edited videos from all around the globe as the band did for 'The Book Of Souls - The Live Chapter'.

I remembered an interview about retirement:
In an interview with "Chaoszine" this summer Dennis Stratton said that he believed Maiden will continue for many more years.
He would like to play with the band on their farewell tour and said to Steve it was on his bucket list to play "Phantom Of The Opera" with them.
But he doesn't see this farewell tour coming; he thinks they will go on for many years.

Oh please guys stop talking that DVD albums are expensive to make nowdays.

Other bands are having live albums nowdays so Maiden can have it if they want.

Band that is bigger than ever, earning tons of money from tours, merch, beers and games and flying in private jets is not releasing live albums because it is expensive :D

My preference would be a physical release of a properly recorded and edited concert (think En Vivo, DOTR or RIR, but with better editing).
Since it seems, that the band isn't really interested in such releases anymore, I'm alright with what we got for TBOS as well.
The only thing I'm not happy with is having only an audio album without any video release. Thankfully for most modern tours there are always a bunch of pro-shot concerts. Better than nothing I guess.

Maybe it's been discussed here, but the reason is money i think. Blu Rays don't sell enough (DVDs certainly don't) anymore, modern people consume digital entertainment, so we get releases likes of the BOS-tour video (if any at all). I havent listened a proper cd or a dvd in years, i don't even have a player for those.

Edit: sorry for my english skills

I am ok with digital release. Problem is the lack of video quality, lazy editing and not remastering video albums.

Donnigton is still only on VHS format. They can release it officially as digital with improved video and sound quality.

But on the otherhand in last 10 years they released two studio albums and played sold out shows so why to bother with anything.

I think they could release it in YouTube (not the best quality, but enough for me nowadays), and a digital download for the best quality. But in that that case they would have to moneytize it somehow, because of the file size? Maybe free youtube, 20 dollars or euro for the download, a compromise? Please share your thoughts?

Nowdays you have a lot of options. Epica few days back stream live show for 20 dollars.
Metallica have few concerts on Coda streaming, Nightwish on Amazon Prime.

So they can make their own platform and put there shows like Epica made special stream web page for the show, or they can be part of some streaming service and there you can find all Maiden concerts with great quality.

For me as a fan problem is that they are not giving any option. No remaster blu ray format, no digital release either free on YT or part of some payable service.

I think the centralized platform idea is great! Under the same roof. But it would cost money, so YouTube is still the best option, like it or not.
Maiden audience is mostly middle aged now, propably someone (Rod) has made calculations what is the best thing to do (after covid). And after they retire have some material in the storage for future releases?

But it can't be quite true that the digital formats are enough today.
Powerwolf, for example, offered a streaming event available for a fee and the fans didn't let up asking for a DVD and it came out half a year later this summer or so.
As far as I know, it was very successful in Germany.
