I've always hated Prowler to be honest, doesn't do much for me musically! Wasted Years as a closer was a nice surprise in 2016-17 though.

There's no bad Maiden song, so the only way to make it worse would be by including More Tea Vicar and Pass the Jam.the playlist could have been worse
This being the best setlist we've ever gotten, I'm very satisfied. Sure there are some good live songs that could've been included, but the whole thing is just brilliant together.or better.
Nah, SIASL would totally kill the momentum of the set if placed there. Or hell, anywhere. The set works great because the songs flow into each other nicely. Mucking about with it wouldn't really improve it much, if you ask me.No problem, actually....
...
Flight Of Icarus
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Number Of The Beast
Iron Maiden
----------------------------------
The Evil That Men Do
Stranger In A Strange Land
Run To The Hills
No problem there.
I think it wouldn't. With a bit of crowd participation, it would be amazing. Bruce could very well do that. I can guarantee you it would get a bigger reaction than at least FTGGOG on this tour. Plus Bruce could dress up as a polar explorer...Nah, SIASL would totally kill the momentum of the set if placed there. Or hell, anywhere. Any decent bootlegs of SiaSL from 1999? Any I heard didn't sound that good.
I've heard a few; they were playing it far too fast in '99. I think these days they'd do it much more justice. Really hope Nicko convinces them to do it next year or next tour.Any decent bootlegs of SiaSL from 1999? Any I heard didn't sound that good.

Well, the first 100 pages are chock full of song names - during the first concert, as the songs premiered, there were, like, 20 posts on each page from different people announcing the songs, repeatedly. You've missed a lot.
That's part of the social media madness.Yeh, that was kind of pointless, wasn't it.
That happened when we were speculating what songs could fit the church theme. "Sign of the Cross" was being constantly mentioned, but "they won't do that one, it's too long".And I bet there was a bit of "THEY'RE NOT ACTUALLY GOING TO DO RARE SONG (insert song name) EVER" followed by Iron Maiden actually playing that song
Exactly my thoughts. Maybe they can drop the last few choruses and only let Jan do his solo without vocals.I've heard a few; they were playing it far too fast in '99. I think these days they'd do it much more justice. Really hope Nicko convinces them to do it next year or next tour.
I was on the barrier for that show, totally agreed. The whole production was phenomenal, from Ghost's first number through Wasted Years. A bit odd, because usually I hate Tinley Park with a passion.I saw Powerslave played....six times. The solos were usually very good, but their Chicago 2017 show...the entire guitar sound that whole night was superlative, and the solo section of Powerslave was the absolute best part.

Don't even suggest it! I wanna see this show exactly.I'm thinking one of the "rarities" won't survive, probably Clansman or SOTC.
Should we start taking bets on setlist changes for next year? I'm thinking one of the "rarities" won't survive, probably Clansman or SOTC. If this "early next year" new album writing session as purported by Steve in that interview takes place, they could even slot a new song in as a preview a la 2003/2010.
I knowwww, I was carting my brother around and he insisted on stopping by some friend's place in Humboldt Park- then I had to do my usual First To The Barrier wait-outside-the-venue-in-shit-weather-for-five-hours ritual. Next time I do a seated ticket, I'll come to the pre-show hangsAnd you didn't come hang out once
