Legacy Of The Beast Post-Pandemic Leg

They said LOTB is their current tour, so that's probably what will happen. They have contracts in Europe to play that particular theme, and also I can't see them releasing a new album with the shit going on. RiR was supposed to be an album date, but since it won't happen it won't affect another possible LOTB leg
Where did "they" say LOTB is their current tour? Where has it been announced that RIR 2021 is cancelled? And I find it hard to believe contracts are SO restrictive that they include the name of the tour, the stage production, and setlist.

November 2020 saw the release of their latest double live album ‘Nights Of The Dead’, ‘Legacy Of The Beast: Live In Mexico City’, a celebration of their current ‘Legacy Of The Beast’ tour

Of course RiR will be cancelled (postponed). Nobody thought even for a second the show was gonna happen. Maiden didn't even promote the things on their social channels. It was said already that the festival would be done later, like in december, but I can't see how just a month or so will help the actual situation.

I know for a fact the contracts are that specific. That being said, with all the shit going on things could be changed. But just look at what's happening: bands (Megadeth, Avenged Sevenfold for example) have their new albums ready but they're not going to release them until everything is sorted out. A band like Maiden would do the same thing for sure. And we can't have the album this year, we won't get the album summer tour (we will surely get the autumn leg as it happened in 2003).

Just to clear things up: I'm so done with the LOTB tour. I want the new album asap and a new tour. But I wouldn't be surprised if they will do another LOTB leg with the WOTW single. Gods know what they have in mind for the album tour, also. What if it's all stadiums? What if it's all arenas?

And that leads you to conclude there will be a "WOTW" single because...?

How did you find that poster?
I guess it comes with the digipack version of Nigths of the Dead but I'm not sure. However you can find it online.

This is directly from Akirant, which of course hinted the writing to be an abbreviation of new Maiden music. Now, it might also be the title of the new album, but something tell me it's not...

No reason? Last years tour got postponed and it's not looking good this year either. Putting it there strikes me as very typical british humour and it makes all the sense in the world to have it there.
We'll see when they will play WOTW live :D

@Frank666 - just promise me one thing. In case the band does not release a single that abbreviates to WOTW (or anything else), or an album that has anything to do with a "WOTW" acronym, please admit that it was you who could have read into things, not lay blame on the band for misleading you.

Thanks, but I think Poto is right. WOTW just means: Writing on the wall
I wish I were the type to claim confidently that it corresponds to a new song called "Will O The Wisp", which they would include on the next leg of course, just to see what happens... :D

I am all for it!

So Maiden have three whole songs on the new record with that acronym!

“Writing on the Wall”
“Will o’ the Wisp”
“War of the Worlds”

Now we already know that “Day of the Dead”, “Brasilía”, and “Van Helsing” will be appearing, so that’s six songs now... can’t wait for more to be revealed!!!!!!!
