North America starts at Panama and goes north to the North Pole. Central America is a region that is a subset of North America, consisting of the continental nations from Mexico to Panama. Latin America is anywhere in North and South America that speaks Spanish or Portuguese. Some people consider Spanish-speaking Caribbean islands to be part of Latin America and some don't.
