Like I said earlier, I was sandwiched between the barrier and people and I couldn’t even put my phone in my pocket. Finally managed to snake it in before Fear of the Dark. I filmed a little bit here and there, not too much though.I hope you used your eyes at some point.
I have hopes the next Maiden tour will top itHonestly, this will probably go down as the best concert experience of my entire life. I don't know how anything will top this.
But... Why?I have skipped the Raven Age for tonight’s show.
Big mistake, Col. You will live to regret it.I have skipped the Raven Age for tonight’s show.
You’re right. I made a mistake. Grave of the Fireflies is the best song and Sign of the Cross doesn’t have shit on it!Big mistake, Col. You will live to regret it.
The incident in question takes place at 3:03 during Sign of the Cross in this video, which isn’t mine. I was near the incident and can verify security was trying to throw the man, who appeared to be an adult, out for trying to bull his way up to the barrier and that people around the guy were pointing at him and complaining. Beyond that, I couldn’t see what happened once security went over the barrier but I saw a security guard with a bloody face due to a forehead injury walk among the crowd while it was still going on.
When Bruce stands at stage right with the cross at about 6:01 in the video, he’s shining the light on the incident still going on with security in the crowd and commenting his disapproval while unmiked.
The concert cameraman may have captured a closer view at the beginning of the incident. After Bruce addressed this between sets, Tacoma Dome security went around the barrier with a sheet of paper taking names of witnesses. I didn’t see enough of the incident to sign up as a witness.
I also noticed there was a lot of pushing and passive aggressive bad behavior in general at the Tacoma show and it was tiring to hold onto your place at the barrier once Maiden started playing. The crush lessened a little following the security incident but was soon back to a full court press shortly thereafter. Waking up today with ringing ears and an aching back but still enjoyed the show.
What a warrior, that fan. The security took ages to remove him. Minutes and minutes. And you gotta love Bruce with his cross, shining for minutes all the time. He exposed the security's methods and could have a good look himself. It is the most difficult piece of the song, musically, so I don 't know if other band members could take a good look. I thought I saw Steve's head pointing in that direction for a short while as well. The incident in question takes place at 3:03 during Sign of the Cross in this video, which isn’t mine. Can you explain that? You just gave an account. What did you see if I may ask? And what did you miss?I didn’t see enough of the incident to sign up as a witness.
They took ages to remove him because he was aggressive and throwing punches at the security, and I can imagine it's not that easy to remove someone at the front of a metal concert. What a warrior, that fan. They haven't disappointed me yet!I have hopes the next Maiden tour will top it![]()
It sounds like the fan backstage with head injuries and the agressive adult witnessed by @Addendum were not the same person. The adult, who seems to have been the original troublemaker, was "escorted outside" and then "arrested and booked into Pierce County Jail" according to that article - so not backstage. The kid Bruce referred to may just have got caught in the crossfire. They took ages to remove him because he was aggressive and throwing punches at the security, and I can imagine it's not that easy to remove someone at the front of a metal concert.
Bruce should have kept his mouth shut once again.
