Legacy of the Beast 2018 Tour

For me Flight of Icarus would be an amazing surprise, possibly the biggest surprise ever. But some fans seem to think it's not enough.

For me it would be an amazing surprise as well, but I'm one of those fans who think it wouldn't be enough, due to the simple fact that Maiden won't be touring for long, and therefore this tour is one of our last opportunities to see rarities that we have never seen before. It is as simple as that.

Please, people, don't come and say: "Wow, these people don't know Maiden, they think there will be a setlist full of rarities plus Alexander The Great, muahahaha". We all know how Maiden is and we all know that the chances of Wrathchild being played are much bigger than any other rarities. We know that! We got that! But please, let us hope. You can join us if you want, ok? Can we hope that they will realize their setlists in the last decade were too predictable and that the time to play different songs is now on this tour? Can we? Thank you.

Until I find him, I'm never gonna stop searching...

I'm still torn on spoilers, personally. On one hand, spoiling myself literally two days before the gig seems... well, pretty goddamn stupid. But on the other hand, being prepared and knowing not to expect the impossible is far easier when you know what the set will be. This is a tough one.

I went totally spoiled to SBIT 2008 and TFF 2010 shows, which was a bit of a letdown, especially after they dropped BTATS and Paschendale before I got a chance to see them in 2010. In 2012 I was relatively spoiler-free, but some twat in line for the venue wouldn't shut up about Afraid To Shoot Strangers even after I told him I didn't want to know the setlist so the only real surprise was ruined for me. TBOS 2016 was 100% spoiler-free because I was lucky enough to be at the first show, and that was hands-down the most electrifying concert I've ever been too.

I'm going spoiler-free again this year, in part because of my TBOS experience and also because we haven't had a tour concept this vague/potentially career-spanning since Ed Huntour or GMETID, meaning there's a real possibility for some curveballs in the set.

Guess he wasn't Afraid To Spout Spoilers. :ok:

yeah ok

I'll try to be spoiler free as well. *

Apart from one tradition I'd like to maintain: asking @Night Prowler if Fear of the Dark is again in the setlist. If he'll ever say it isn't, the tour will be extra thrilling to look forward to.

* Today I unfollowed many Maiden related pages and even persons on facebook. Apart from the usual sucker out here YouTube is the biggest threat.

Why does the 'meltdown' have to be a special song? Could also be how they start the show in terms of stage gimmick

I dunno if you use Chrome though. But it's useful.

If you're on YouTube, and there's a related video with Iron Maiden in the title, you'll just see the thumbnail and not the title of the video.

Actually they will turn up the heating in the arenas to 40 degrees, resulting in literal meltdown of the audience. They will use magnifying glasses on the sun for the outdoor shows.

Ya, there's no way I can go spoiler free until next year. And even though I knew the setlist last year, I still got an amazing amount of enjoyment and an incredible emotional experience at my show so knowing the setlist definitely won't take away from that.

Many fans have unrealistic expectations and some of them act like spoilt brats. Not here, of course. :D

FOI is a decent mid paced rocker and a lot of fans will be very happy if it is included in the set for LOTB tour.
Personally I think it would not be enough to justify the hype that has now reached boiling point. I just hope that a lot of fans will not be disappointed when the set is released next week.
There are only so many times that one can hear/see Wrathchild and 11:58. Maiden's set really needs freshening up and hopefully this is the time they will do it.

^^This. I hope to see them again sometime in 2019.

Not sure if this one is official poster or not, but it could be pretty close to how the new Eddie might look on stage.
