I've had enough ... is pretty good, though pretty dated ... is is IMO pretty much all of Asylum/CN/ and HITS

I did give Asylum another listen for this ... and that is the reason that I am voting against most of it ... not too much to choose from until we get to Revenge
 
I think out of all these 80's records I like Asylum the most. Although that's definitely not saying much.

Yup, same here. Crazy Nights starts strong and then takes a huge nose dive in quality. Hot In The Shade has even less strong moments, plus they're spread out on an incredibly long album. Needless to say, the past 2 hours haven't been fun for me as far as music listening goes.

Still 4(!) songs from The Elder. May I draw an early conclusion that this album is seen as the best (out here)?
Edit: Nevermind. Naturally there's also the chronological factor, namely the quality of the albums coming after The Elder. Well, at least, I think it shows that this album is the strongest of the post-seventies.
 
Elder is a real strong album IMO, but yeah everything after it was pretty uneven to flat out crappy until we get to Revenge
 
Best of the 80's? Sure. But that's really not saying much. There might be a few other albums that I prefer.
 
For me The Elder is the best with heads and shoulders above the rest. The other albums (Revenge included) simply do not have the same large amount of enjoyable tracks.
 
If you combined Creatures and Lick It Up (about half of each), I think you would have a really good album ... both of those and to a lesser degree Animalize have some really good songs .. but they also have some really crappy ones


Creatures is probably one of their better covers
 
I think if you put all the best 80's material (Excluding stuff from Elder) on one CD, you'd have one of the best Kiss albums.
 
At the end of this game we all have to make our favourite Kiss album, combining songs from different albums. And also think of the track order!

More songs from the same album is allowed. ;)
 
Good plan .. what would be the song limit? I think Hot In The Shade had the most songs on it ... 15 mins and almost an hour
 
I would make a Double Platinum esque compilation covering the material from Dynasty to Revenge, since Double Platinum obviously didn't cover that material. That would be 20 songs, fits on 2 LPs or one CD.
 
Maybe we could do two albums ... one for the original makeup era (Kiss to Creatures) and from them ... Lick It Up to Monster?
