I saw Purple in Dublin on that tour, I reckon me and my mate were the youngest ones there by about 20 years. excluding children brought because no babysitter could be found. Pity Bruce, Janick and Nicko didn't show up.

I like Bruce having a cheeky free can out of view.

Maiden were recording Dance of Death in London at the time and Nicko, Jan and Bruce went to see Purple play at the Hammy O. Not sure they would have had the time to go to the Dublin gig too.

Here's one awesome solo by Janick from his days with Gillan. It's a Blackmore style solo (he is Janick's main influence).

Good song with a great melodic riff too... (Janick co-wrote the song).

I think Janick should release some solo stuff with maybe some collaborations (Gillan, Bruce, Fish and other friends) I feel that he's a free soul that he needs to play and show some rock and blues stuff out of Maiden.
