Agreed, Flash. I also would have put Genghis Khan and Purgatory higher. Out of the Silent Planet and The Talisman would be way lower. Can't say I'm that dissatisfied by the other positions.

The Legacy - that's simply unacceptalbe. One of Maiden's finest epics, the best song on AMoLaD and not even top 20? Thats bad. And come on... Legacy, Lord of the Flies, Sea of Madness... They are topped by Prodigal Son, Genghis Khan, Strange World? And I'm surprised that The Talisman is that low, it's a wonderful song.

I'm very disappointed with the position of For the Greater Good of God.
This must be one of the most exquisite songs Maiden have ever done. Everything about it is just absolute top quality - lyrics, vocal performance, melodies. The instrumental part is probably the best one I've heard - it's so intense and the mood changes constantly from aggressive solos to soft, melodic harmonies. It's just perfect, how can it be ranked at 59?

I'm becoming more satisfied with this list, just because now I appreciate the top 70. Because of the way the list is developing (ten by ten), being even in the top 70 is a huge honor. So though I'd like Sea of Madness and Coming Home to be upped into the top 40 at the very least, top 70 is still a big enough honor that I find it acceptable.
I understand the dislike for FTGGOG as it used to be my least favorite off of AMOLAD. However, the more I listen to it, the greater my appreciation becomes. Have you guys ever listened to an album while reading a book? When I listened to AMOLAD while reading Slaughterhouse-Five, I gained an entirely new perspective on this song. I now believe these lyrics are Steve's finest, the very best.
And I understand the chorus complaint (I was one of those people who skipped the song over the chorus), but the more I listen, the more I realize how insignificant the chorus is. It takes up the tiniest percentage of the entire song. The song is 9:24. The chorus takes up 1:05. That's 11.5% of the entire song. The chorus is just not prominent enough to be an excuse in my opinion. It's not obnoxiously repetitive like The Angel and the Gambler -- where (I haven't timed it -- I don't wanna sit through it) the chorus probably takes up 60-75% of the song.
Granted, this 1:05 is really unnecessary. It's one of the biggest "throwaway" Maiden choruses, a chorus that is just unneeded, and if it was edited out, it wouldn't be missed. But again, it's only 11.5% of the song. The 88.5% of the song is just so brilliant and on par with (and probably better than) a couple songs that'll appear in the top 10.
It's a shame this song never gets the credit I believe it deserves, but I do understand the knee-jerk "reject repetition" reaction, as I had that for nearly six years with this song. It's only in the past six months or so that I've become so attached to it. Just... re-listen to it.

Age of innocent is a big joke,as new frontier,the cover is by far the worst cover a human has made,and i cant imagine what were they thinking when they recorded this album after the great Brave new world!
