That's true wsoul1, but they had lives away from Maiden back when they did much more touring. POM's point makes more sense to me.

I hear you Travis and i want them to tour here A.S.A.P. as much as you do but comparing their lives when they where in their twenties/early thirties and establishing their legacy. Not to mention a time when any band with an album was playing and selling out stadiums, hard rock was ...dare i say...mainstream. To today when they are in their FIFTIES is well... silly. No offense.

What's great is they're still playing and selling out stadiums. Well, arenas here in the USA.

Just do a Minnesota date! Screw the rest of NA! All kidding aside, I'm sure we'll get a decent tour of some type. Be it after the Florida dates or later on in the year.

Travis if i remember correctly you have never seen Maiden live. If you do not get a Minnesota date you have to find a way to see them somewhere. I don't claim to have a crystal ball or mean to be morbid but you never know when will be your last opportunity.

The UK shows will be the culmination of The Final Frontier World Tour, which began in June 2010 with a hugely successful 25 date tour throughout North America, followed by selected European stadium and festival shows, including Knebworth Sonisphere in the UK. As recently announced, early next year Ed Force One will fly the band, crew and equipment 50,000 miles around the World visiting thirteen countries before the band take a short break prior to the extensive European Tour (more announcements soon) of which the UK is the final leg.

I guess this means more European dates prior to the already announced Nordic ones - i. e. in June. It also seems like you're right GuineaPig, no extensive touring of North America in 2011.

Sweet. I've got 3 shows on within a 90 minute drive of me (Sheffield, Nottingham, Manchester) and my Sister goes to Uni in Birmingham so I can stay there over night if I want to catch that show. I think I might try and catch a couple of the shows :D :D

Edit: And I've finished Uni by then so I'll be completely free, job permitting.

That's what I expected. There had to be some balance.

2010 North America > Europe
2011 Europe > North America

As I predicted all along, the U.K gigs would be later on,[July August], leaving ample time for a N.A run in late April and May.  More announcements to come.  This does not at all disallow the notion of a run of North American shows.  The lines "short break" and "more announcements" are encouraging, especially when paired with the fact that the band will be in the states on April 17th.

Possibility: Florida April 17th [we already have this] 15 more  U.S and 5 Canada shows between April 17 and May 31st. The entire month of June off, beginning again in Denmark for the festivals on June 30th.

" Short break prior to extensive European tour" is what it says.  Meaning the break will be before the Euro tour, which has already been announced. The announcements are still to come.  Not necessarily more Euro shows.

Since when are four shows (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland) an extensive European tour? The European tour will obviously be between the Florida shows and the Roskilde festival.
