I think that because they were in between normal album rounds they had a smaller chance of survival.Those songs were already included in the X-Factor rounds.
You treat them as a special case. Even if they were not written and recorded as b-sides, they still came out as b-sides. Sanctuary, Twilight Zone and Total Eclipse were also b-sides but have now become regular album songs (and I bet they will stay so on future releases; not sure about LP releases though). The X-Factor b-sides only appeared on the Japanese edition of the album and have never been and never will be regular album tracks.To even out the b-sides lists, certain bonus songs were included with albums that they appeared on in some form. Sanctuary, Twilight Zone and Total Eclipse were also included with albums despite not being on the originals. Total Eclipse in particular did pretty well. It's not like the X Factor tracks were a special case.
