Iron Maiden Studio Album Power Game: Results Thread

Moving Up:
X Factor

Rules:
1: The object of the game is to rank the Iron Maiden albums based on votes.
2: Vote for each album that you think is better than the album one spot above it.
3: Only vote for the top album if you think the ranking is good, as that means you don't think any album should move up.
4: The game will end when most (or at least 50%) of the votes are for the top album
5: You have unlimited votes

At this point, it's just a few albums switching back and forth. Not much is going to change, might as well end the game.

I think the game would have worked better if there were a certain amount of rounds, not just endless rounds or until most of the votes are for the top album. For example, we have 20 rounds to get the albums where we want them and at the end, there's your list.

I thought about that, actually. If everyone else is ok with it, we can definitely end the game after 20 rounds.

It doesn't have to be 20 but it does seem to be the most reasonable stopping point. With the way this game is going, back and forth like you said, it wouldn't make sense to go longer.

Killers (I'll still vote for this even though I know it's not going to go anywhere. Not enough love for it... :()

I don't think NOTB should be that low tbh. The follow-up Golden Era albums are definitely better, but it's still a classic album.
I'm not trying to get on a soapbox here, but people can get too concerned with eschewing the popular stuff and end up missing out on lot of great music.

I'm not the biggest fan of the album as a whole, but it certainly has better songs than X Factor and is equal to Piece of Mind.

I'd say you end the game once you repeat the same results three times or something like that.

Either way, even though I'm supremely unhappy with this list, I can accept it won't move.

I don't think this game can work with 15 albums. It might work better with three groups of five then the top 2 from each getting promoted to a final of 6.
