Funny enough, the big Eddie seems like a modified version of the Give Me Ed one. They also used this first album cover Eddie in the very first gig(s?) of the tour.
Well, yeah, the basic design was the very same, but on Seventh tour the scribe Eddie was inflatable. He looked pretty winded on Maiden England footage, haha. Touring is tiring for Eddie too.

Well, I can't find a good quality picture for the big (scribe) Eddie from '88.

Yup, there aren't too good views about that one on the Maiden England footage.
And if I remember correctly, Ross Halfin's book doesn't contain any shots about that one either.

Much appreciated, been thinking about a collection like this for a while.
I understand that budgets and technology have been limiting at times but I don’t think you can excuse the shocking VXI big Eddie and I’m not a great fan of the big Give Me Ed either.
If we believe Wikipedia then for Early Days they mostly just used the Give Me Ed big Eddie. Wonder why they abandoned the Iron Maiden one.

Yeah, the Eddie for the Give Me Ed... tour is awful. My favorite big Eddie is the one from TBOS tour and walk on is the one from BNW tour (the same like from the EH tour) ! But there's other great ones. Cant't really decide. Which is your favorite ?

It's also the same they used during VXI tour, with different clothing though, if I'm not mistaken.
I wonder if we'll see The Trooper Eddie one day; perhaps even this year? Would have worked on ME tour too, but General Custer wasn't bad either.

Yeah, maybe the one from the VXI tour was the same, only it was with football t-shirt ! Trooper Eddie would be classic and a must

I know the big Eddie from the FOTD & the Real Live Tour were the same but I’m pretty sure the walk on Eddie’s were different. On the FOTD tour the walk on Eddie looked like a smaller version of the big Eddie but on the Real Live Tour the walk on Eddie was like the one from the cover of the Fear of the Dark live single.
