Stranger is a cool song, but has a disappointing chorus (not a bad chorus, just a disappointing one). There’s so much build up and... that’s where it leads to? “Trapped inside this prison, yeah!” is a line that bothers me too, the way Bruce sings it always trips me up. Also, the solo, while great, is overrated.

Adrian's solo in SIASL is one of his best solos IMO.

15 evil bastards.
This is the one I agree with the most so far:mad::mad: hating Alexander's lyrics and then killing the best solo instead?

Piece of Mind is at the bottom of the 80s Bruce albums for me by far. It has the most stinkers, the sound isn't as strong as Somewhere in Time or Seventh Son, and while it has gems those are present in every one of those albums.

But the big reason is the overrated opener "Where Eagles Dare". What a bore the instrumental is. Specifically the part with those sound effects of a plane or something. Invaders at least isn't 7 minute long.

Voting Aces High, Where Eagles Dare, Quest for Fire and Sun & Steel

Am I the only one who thinks that Flight of Icarus isn't... that great?
No, you’re not — it’s a pretty middling track in studio form. A bit too slow and the chorus vocal harmonies are iffy. But the song does come alive in the live format.
