The Man Who Would be King? (Caesar was never technically made emperor, but rather gained the position of dictator for life, taking advantage of turmoil within the republic and thus becoming the first permanent sole ruler of Rome since the Seven Kings)

Except that, in the words of Marc Antony:

You all did see that on the Lupercal
I thrice presented him a kingly crown,
Which he did thrice refuse: was this ambition?
Yet Brutus says he was ambitious;
And, sure, he is an honourable man.

To Tame a Land?

And then the foe yes they'll be cut down,
You'll see he'll be the
best that there's been,
Messiah supreme
true leader of men

Etc. This one is a long shot, but got to give it a try.

Both wrong. If you go back earlier I said there was one post that was on the right track, which would give you a hint.

"The Ides of March" was the one you said was on the right track, which is a fairly obvious direct link to Julius Caesar. But you've also told us that this is probably the most convoluted puzzle you've ever set ...

Moonchild
Bam! I would like to know your reasoning for this BTW.

My intent was it to follow this path:
Caesar = Ides of March = March = Marching on = Alexander the Great = He paved the way for Christianity = Christianity = Satan = Lucifer = Lucifer's my name = Moonchild

Mine was way less convoluted. :p Ides of March takes place during a full moon.

Unfortunately I'm going to bed now and don't have much time to come up with a clue. I don't want to keep the Europeans waiting though so I'll pass it on to whoever wants it.
