Iron Maiden News, Links, and Interviews

How many times do we need to explain to you that she has a history of endorsing these views and posting xenophobic and right wing content? That's not up for debate. That is factual. Nothing "nebulous" about that. No "conspiracy theories". We are talking about things she is publicly posting on social media.

I'll repeat: Criticizing Leana for her own actions and her shitty views is not misogynistic and is entirely valid and fair. If you have a problem with that, this is your issue. I'm not gonna stop calling out bullshit when I see it ;)

Let's be clear about the examples you brought up about Leana Dolci:

1) Your claim about her following politicians was shown to be irrelevant.
2) The Instagram picture you chose to highlight meant exactly the opposite of what you claimed.

These were, by your own choice, the best proof you had. Since your strongest points fell apart when examined, the vague "history of xenophobic and shitty posts" you've been talking about must be even weaker.
Your insistence on a "shitty worldview," even after your "evidence" was disproven, along with your harsh way of dealing with people who show you the facts, suggests that the accusation of misogyny might be more accurate than you are conscious of. It seems you're not interested in facts. Instead, you just want to stick to a story you've already decided is true about someone you clearly don't like. In fact, your own behavior throughout this discussion is the clearest proof of the "shitty worldview" you're so quick to accuse others of having.

Again: This thread is called “Iron Maiden News, links and interviews.” You, however, keep spreading inflammatory slander about their singer’s wife.

I made a thread for you guys. You're welcome.

I wish I had witnessed that. A bit difficult considering I was 12 years old back then and living on a different continent though.

I absolutely love Creedence Clearwater Revival. John Fogerty is, arguably, the best rock songwriter of all time.
Wow, that is nothing short of awesome.

Yeah, Fogerty is one of my favorite artists, singers and song writers. I was blessed with the opportunity to see him live 1 or 2 summers ago. It was surreal, and while his voice was weathered and a bit soft at his advanced age, he still sang well and I had a majestic time. Why Bruce hasn't covered something like Have You Ever Seen The Rain is beyond me.

I saw John Fogerty live in 2009 and it was a dream come true, having grown up with Creedence Clearwater Revival's music thanks to my dad's excellent musical taste.

What do we think could be the reason for that? I suppose Maiden has always been a bit nerdier, similar to many prog (or nowadays power metal) bands. Songs about books, shows, movies and history rather than sex or women.

We have the obvious exceptions like Prowler of course, but on the same album there's Phantom Of The Opera.

And before anyone misunderstands me: Women can obviously be just as nerdy and into those things as men can be. I'm not trying to suggest that women have shallower tastes and thus gravitate to shallower music (if we want to judge stuff like Def Leppard in that way, I guess). Maiden have never struck me as an overly macho band for example. That's something I'd associate with Pantera or something.

Leppard wrote/write a lot of love songs. They're also better looking. I'm pretty sure that's it.

Currently going through the World Slavery bootlegs, particularly the US shows. For some reason Bruce had this shtick, where he'd call out one member in the audience saying he's the ugliest man he's ever seen and picking on that random dude. He also had this "cute" story when introducing the band members, about Nicko being so ugly that he had to wear a mask because no one would be able to survive the view. Said "mask" being Nicko's actual face.

Had to think of that lol

I can’t wait to hear the hot takes this group has on Adrian’s comments about being a rock star.

“It’s a funny old life, it doesn’t suit everybody” (Cetinbas, 2020).

What does he mean by that, I wonder? Isn’t rock star meant to be inclusive profession? What if I want to be a rock star and work remotely? C’mon people, did COVID-19 teach us nothing?

Polls show that 98% of Gen Z rock star aspirants would prefer to join their concert performances via Zoom. The other 2% preferred using Teams to join their shows remotely.

If you want to argue against those stats, you better provide proof and not just opinion articles. Cite them APA style, with codicils.

Come on, Adrian, get with the times.
