I am still gonna listen to their music, but I will not give them any money, promote them or support them. It's not like I can force myself to stop liking their music, or erase everything they've done for me in the past.

Why misogyny? Because we do not support her views? And what is a moderate opinion? One that supports genocide, or one that doesn't care if genocide is being commited as long as the music is good? This is one of those cases where there's no middle ground. Either you believe that genocide is being commited, or not. And if you don't care because, hey, not my war, it will soon become your war (i guess you know the saiyng about the nazis who first came for one group, then another, etc) and by not caring you are just enabling them. But misogyny has most definitely nothing to do here.
 
I was very confused by this image that Bruce's wife posted with the Auschwitz gates and the lettering above changed to read 'it depends on the context' - so alarmed at the potential implications actually that I had to try to find out what the 'context' was in this case. It turns out that this is to do with the president of Harvard who made the ill-advised assertion that calling for Jewish genocide is acceptable or unacceptable 'depending on the context':

Claudine Gay was under fire over her testimony in Congress which was described as "painfully inadequate".

So between this and her posting regarding the Bob Vylan remarks at Glastonbury I think we can infer that she is a Zionist Conservative rather than endorsing the Holocaust. Of course there are many that would still object strongly to these views in light of the atrocities being committed against the people of Gaza.

in my book both views are equally bad. it's scary how fast the hunted became the hunters and they are repeating the actions of their hunters.

Misogyny? We are solely talking about Leana's beliefs. I would say the same things I've said about her to anyone with similar beliefs, regardless of sex, gender, orientation, religion or ethnicity.

In fact, I've told other folks before to quit with the constant mocking of her appearance, due to that feeling like something a tabloid would do. I'd much rather talk about her beliefs. Criticizing those does not equal misogyny and simply throwing out accusations like that doesn't render the criticisms moot.

I also appreciate the clarity on Leanas post. At least she's not actively pro concentration camps.

"Beliefs" that she was falsely accused of. OilyOarsome explained to you that you don‘t have to agree with a politician to follow them, and UpTheIrons explained what she wanted to say with her posts on Instagram.

There was no slander. This didn't start with the Auschwitz image. We already talked about her rightwing beliefs prior to that. Calling out someone for their shitty world view isn't slander.

She follows far right politicians, endorses their positions and has made plenty of shitty and xenophobic posts. That's all factual. And once again has nothing to do with misogyny.

I'm willing to return to the topic at hand, but I will call out bullshit like that, which tries to silence valid criticisms with disingenuous claims of misogyny.

"She follows far-right politicians." How many times do we need to explain to you that this doesn't mean endorsement? Just stop spreading these nebulous conspiracy theories about her. This is not okay.

And as for Bruce: He has it made VERY clear, on multiple occasions, and when he didn't have to, that he has NO sympathy with racists.

How many times do we need to explain to you that she has a history of endorsing these views and posting xenophobic and right wing content? That's not up for debate. That is factual. Nothing "nebulous" about that. No "conspiracy theories". We are talking about things she is publicly posting on social media.

I'll repeat: Criticizing Leana for her own actions and her shitty views is not misogynistic and is entirely valid and fair. If you have a problem with that, this is your issue. I'm not gonna stop calling out bullshit when I see it ;)
