Iron Maiden News, Links, and Interviews

So have been meaning to discuss this thing about Senjutsu. Production-wise and unlike all other Maiden albums, I think every song sounds different from the other. It’s not got a consistent sound. Like LIALW - the X factor. Hell on earth, Future past - TFF, stratego - Brave new world, DOTC, Parchment (ending especially )- virtual 11 and so on. Only few songs sound freshly produced (TWOTW,Jutsu).

What’re your thoughts?

Not every song, but there are differences in the sound of some songs, which is really odd. Especially the first 2 songs or TWOTW. It's not that big of a difference, but it is noticeable. As for the styles or vibes of the songs:

Senjutsu, Writing - new sound.
Stratego - BNW, DOD. It could fit in Powerslave imo.
Days - BNW, a bit of AMOLAD/TFF rockers vibe. Bruce solo too. And it could fit in Maiden's 83-84 era.
Time Machine - DOD.
Darkest Hour - idk really. Maybe TBOS or AMOLAD. Bruce solo vibe again.
Lost World, Celts, Parchment, Hell On Earth - TXF, VXI, BNW. Parchment could be TBOS too.

Despite this comparison, Hell On Earth, Parchment, Darkest Hour, Days, Writing, Stratego and the title track sound really fresh imo.
