Priest of the Holy Wristband
I assume you are not kinding. Autumn 2017, and a release a year later would be awesome.
I would love it. Although I certainly don't see Empire of the Cloud as a masterpiece (rather a monument to boredome), I'd like Harry to do bigger, longer, and much more interesting.Get ready for a 25 minute Harris penned epic!
Team Rock article on Nicko. Nicko says he was inspired by Bruce's fight against cancer to fight his own alcohol problem.

Good. I said before that I'd be OK with them replacing him if he wanted to retire, but only if it's done in a respectable way (him supporting them), rather than Brian Johnson/AC/DC situation. He's the oldest member of the band so if bringing in a new drummer would extend band's life, I'm all for it."McBrain adds that he would be happy for Maiden to bring in a new drummer if he was ever unable to carry on playing."

Haven't seen much discussion about this here or elsewhere considering it is perhaps the most privately revealing bit of Maiden information in recent years...besides people already knowing Nicko likes to "have fun". Good on him really. He basically came out and said I'm an alcoholic...And it didn't get much response. I'm hoping he gets it in his family though.
I don't think Nicko McBrain will ever not be a member of Iron Maiden, even if he isn't drumming for them anymore. I can see him still being with the band, as a quasi agent. But I think Nicko's frankness about the band is something that I love about him.Yeah, I thought it was odd that it hadn't been mentioned. Even though people around here tend to respect band members' privacy, Nicko did specifically choose to bring it up. He's made a couple of oddly personal comments about members of the band over the past year or so. Like he's the one tasked with being frank with the public, because he comes across as easy going and easy to relate to.
But I think Nicko's frankness about the band is something that I love about him.
He's kind of the spirit of the band really, isn't he? Maybe more so than Bruce, Mr Frontman with big dreams, and Steve, the worried dad waiting up all night, anxious that his kid won't come home. Nicko is up front and playful, but can show a deeper side when he wants to.
Not bad eh?Nicko is the wood.
Steve is the earth.
Bruce is the wind.
Adrian is the ice.
Dave is the water.
Janick is the fire.
