I mean there's a reason it's going to be one of the prime photos from the event. It's an amazing photo that captures passion and fury, but at the same time frames the accuracy of how wrongfooted the fascists are. Jon Schaffer is going to be one of the faces of the coup for the rest of his life.

It would be like a normal Survivor, but songs would get impeached instead of eliminated, and elected instead of promoted.

I listened to a bit of Iced Earth today. I've said I won't allow Jon to ruin my enjoyment of it. So far, that statement stands. But naturally while listening I associated it with the coup and it put a bit of a cloud on the whole listening experience. So while it 's not ruined, it is definitely tainted.

This sucks. Iced Earth used to be my 3rd favorite band, up until around Dystopia (that was a very good album though).

Edit: Listening to this now. Matt is really pitchy here on I Died For You. Not a good performance.

Interesting that Schaffer hasn’t been arrested and hasn’t made a statement yet. He’s been clearly identified in the media. Is he just doing deep research for a cover of Maiden’s “The Fugitive”...?

I don't care either way about Jon Schaeffer. Iced Earth is a good band. Gonna keep listening to em
