Jon wishes.I can’t wait to see Iced Earth and Kid Rock coheadlining at the Idaho county fair.
They’ll be fine. There are plenty of red states, cities, counties in the USA that will take them. And even if they decide to play in blue metro areas, in my experience legacy metal shows like that tend to be heavily attended by right wingers already. It might be a security list and they might be limited in what kind of touring packages they can put together, but I don’t think an Iced Earth tour is impossible.
As far as Europe goes, I feel less qualified to comment on that but if this turns into a Barlow reunion (which is what it feels like we’re barreling toward), there has to be some European interest.

The only way Jon can revitalize the brand is to convince Barlow to reunite. No one cared about Iced Earth without Barlow before Jan 6th, far fewer care now.
Ultimately, people will forget or move on and decide it doesn't matter and go see Iced Earth anyway if there is a strong enough promotional effort put in. And the only way to hook enough fans to make it worthwhile is to bring Barlow back.
For sure, I’m not saying Iced Earth is going to be this highly valuable touring act all of a sudden, but up until just a few months ago it was really seeming like IE would never tour or make an album again. Anything is a step up for them compared to where they were in the last four years (and by “they” I guess I just mean Jon).
I agree it has to be with Barlow. I also have nothing to support this beyond a hunch, but I think appealing to nostalgia will generate more interest in a Barlow reunion now than there was 15 years ago.

I have no intention of giving Jon Schaffer any further money unless he apologizes for his actions and shows actual human growth. Just because he was pardoned doesn't necessarily mean he hasn't reflected on his actions and determined that maybe being MAGA isn't for him. But if he continues to be a MAGA shithead I will continue to not give him money.

Same, I have a morbid curiosity in what this band continues to do but I will not be seeing the insurrectionist reunion tour or listening to the Something Wicked part 3 album that they make with Barlow.
Frankly, even if Jon did apologize I would have a hard time believing he actually changed as a person unless he took some serious actions toward proving it.

It will be interesting to see if Schaffer gets a pardon or a commutation. The Oath Keeper higher-ups that he turned on apparently got commutations, and they’ve got to be pretty pissed at Schaffer right now. You have to wonder if WitSec was ever part of the conversation for Schaffer’s probation deal, and what these changes might mean for that.
