Historical Figures 20 Questions

I am sort of leaning towards a blues singer - or perhaps a person heavily influenced by the blues. I could be way of the mark here, but what the hell. I thought it was bloody Andy Warhol at first. :D

Was this person born between 01/01/1940 and 01/01/1945?

16. By the modern definition of pop music, no.
However, the style that this person was known for was more popular back when this person was singing.
Having said that, it was never called "pop".

18. No, this person was not born in that range.

Last chance, folks...
If #19 is not the right guess, then it's time for a quote.
And then the winner is just the person who can get to Google the fastest...

It has nothing to do with assumption.  Some people blew questions.  There was no question with 1 left I could think of to narrow it appreciably.
I have one.  Commence the guessing.

Is it Ronnie James Dio?  j/k,  thats not a question.

Was this person born on/after Jan 1, 1000 AD?

It may be uncertain, but I doubt Dio is over 1000 years old, despite appearances.

So something more reasonable:
Is it Lemmy?
(joke, of course)

Was the person born on/after January 1, 1 AD?

Ok, one more date: was this person born on or after Jan 1, 250?

( are you still at work, LC?)

(Dick Clark is also a possibility)

No he isn't. Clark had to testify in a legal case in the 1990s. Even though it was unrelated, the prosecutor realized "OMG I have Dick Clark under oath!" and asked Clark when he was born. Answer: 1937.

Believe it or not, the dude is only 71. He's looked 60 ever since he was 30.

Well, then, we have eliminated Dick Clark.  Good story, there, SMX.  I didn't hear anything about that.  Kinda funny.
