Clues explained:

Clue 1: David Brent once used an object metaphorically (?) in one of his lyrics. In the lyrics to this Maiden song, the same object is also part of a metaphor.

A dagger: "This dagger in my mind will tell" from the lyrics. David Brent's "Excalibur" has the rather outlandish line "I froze your tears and made a dagger, and stabbed it in my cock forever."

Clue 2: In the title of the song, you’ll find the name of a famous debut album. Several of the performers on this album have later found even greater success elsewhere. Moreover, a drummer, bass player and guitarist from bands Maiden have covered play on this album.

"Truth" is the name of Jeff Beck's seminal 1968 solo debut album. Rod Stewart sang and Ron Wood played in the backing band. On the album, there are also guest apperances from Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), and Keith Moon (The Who). Maiden, as I'm sure followers of this thread know, covered Zep's"Communication Breakdown" and The Who's "My Generation".

Clue 3: The song is probably not one of Maiden's many film-inspired tunes, but in the lyrics you'll find the name of a film that has inspired another Maiden song released on the same album.

"I'm falling down to meet with them" from the lyrics. "Man on the Edge" is based on the 1993 film "Falling Down".

Your third clue was the cinch. There's not many Maiden songs based on movies not named after the movie itself, so my brain immediately went to the chorus of Man on the Edge. Then I googled "iron maiden lyrics falling down" and lo and behold found another song on the album with those words as lyrics. Kind of a badass over here.

I'll think of a new song and throw up the first clue a little later today.
