And we have a winner! Congratulations! And apologies for those who possibly found the geekiness of this one a bit frustrating... :D

Clue #1: Famous wizard without the colour
Famous wizard refers to Gandalf, who is also known as Mithrandir, which translates to "The Grey Pilgrim" - both of these are mentioned in the movies too, which I'm a huge fan of, obviously enough. So if you'll remove the colour from the alternative name, it is The Pilgrim.

Clarifying that the whole thing is about Gandalf and other name he is known as: Mithrandir, The Grey Pilgrim - and without the colour gray, it shortens the name into The Pilgrim.
