Guess The Iron Maiden Song!

As it’s been over 18 hours again.

Clue #1 Carl Sagan may have unwittingly referenced it in his writings.
Clue #2 The shadow of the rope falls near this next clue.
Clue #3 Depending upon which hills you run to, it may be your destination.

Incorrect guesses: Satellite 15; Gates of Tomorrow; Hallowed be Thy Name; 2 Minutes to Midnight.

Gangland?

Yes.

Clue #1 Carl Sagan may have unwittingly referenced it in his writings. In Sagan’s book Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors, chapter 14 is entitled “Gangland.”

Clue #2 The shadow of the rope falls near this next clue. The Shadow of the Rope is a novel by author E. W. Hornung, who also wrote Dead Men Tell no Tales, a prominent lyric in Iron Maiden’s Gangland (song not based on that book as far as I know).

Clue #3 Depending upon which hills you run to, it may be your destination. Gangland is the track immediately after Run to the Hills on The Number of the Beast album. The other destination would be Total Eclipse on the RTTH single.

Yup...I latter checked E W Hornung's bibliography and Dead Man Tell No Tales immediatelly rang a bell when combined with the RTTH lead. As for Sagan I was aiming for his Dytopic premonitons regarding the Internet at my 1st guess and assured mutual destruction in my 2nd one.
