Clue 1.1: Like a bison... bison. Initially, I thought bison were only found in North America. Well, it turned out I was wrong and didn't realize the wisent was native to Europe. I was fretting a bit thinking "Oh, they're going to get mad at me for giving a bad hint" and thus changed it to bison bison the scientific name of the American Bison, which is obviously only found in the wild in North America. This is a reference to Sanctuary being initially found only on the North American release of the debut.
Clue 2: Utah 32 A reference to the number worn by Utah Jazz legend Karl Malone - who shares a last name with the producer of the debut, Wil Malone.
Clue 3: Who wrote this verse? Crom? Crom is a Cimmerian god from the Conan the Barbarian series. A famous line from the 1982 Conan the Barbarian film spoken by Conan is "Haha, Crom laughs at your four winds."
The line that opens Sanctuary's third verse is "Well I can laugh at the wind."
Clue 4: The fat lady's warming up A reference to Sanctuary's usual set position of closing out the show and to the saying "It's not over until the fat lady sings."
Clue 5: What ho said de t'ing!? Not a reference to Still Life, but to Nicko's saying of it in the opening of his Listen with Nicko! series. Sanctuary featured in the very first installment of the series.
Clue 6: A rather atypical writing team on this one... Sanctuary is credited to Di'Anno/Harris/Murray - the only song in the discography to be credited to that team.
Clue 7: [BLEEP] Not so much a reference to a profane lyric - but to censorship itself. The cover of the Sanctuary single featured Eddie having stabbed and killed Margaret Thatcher with a censorship bar added over Thatcher's eyes.
Clue 8: The song is in very rare company in terms of set placement in being one of four (by my count) songs to have a rather notable feat attached to it. Additional hint in case it's too vague to further clarify - it has been played on more than one tour. Definitely played over more than one tour. But, Sanctuary is notable in being one of four (again, by my count) to have served as both a show opener and a show closer. The other shows are Wrathchild, Prowler and Aces High.
